Truck Dispatch for Owner-Operators & Small Fleets Running Under Their Own MC Authority
You've got the authority, the insurance, the truck — you did the hard part. But every hour on a load board, or on hold with a broker, is an hour the truck isn't earning. EIDDI runs that desk for you: sourcing loads, negotiating every rate, and handling the calls and paperwork — whether you run one truck or a small fleet. You keep driving. And on any week we don't book you a load, you don't pay. Just getting set up? See how to get your authority. Governed by our Terms of Service.
Is This You?
Active MC Authority, current insurance — and you're done losing the day to load boards.
Switching dispatchers because yours doesn't negotiate, doesn't answer, or doesn't update you.
Newly independent and ready to run your first loads under your own authority.
New to authority? Start with our MC Authority setup — this page is for carriers already up and running.
The Hidden Cost
Self-dispatch isn't free — the cost just never lands on an invoice. It's the hours the truck sits while you hunt freight, work the phones, read rate confirmations, and chase detention. That time is unpaid either way. A dispatcher runs all of it in parallel while you drive, so the wheels keep earning.
For most owner-operators and small-fleet owners, the real question isn't whether dispatch costs money — it's whether your hours belong behind the wheel or behind a desk. More on when it pays off: owner-operator vs. fleet — when dispatch pays off.
We Run the Desk
A dedicated desk on your lanes, your equipment, and your rate floor — not a generic load-board feed. Here's what your dispatcher handles, start to finish:
- Load sourcing matched to your equipment type and preferred lanes
- Rate negotiation on every load, before it's booked
- Broker communication — calls, emails, rate confirmations — start to finish
- Live check calls and tracking through delivery
- Detention pay negotiation — we contact the broker within 1 hour of a reported delay
- Paperwork handling: rate confirmations, BOLs, and POD collection
Built for the major US equipment types — tell us what you run:
You remain the carrier of record on every load. EIDDI is your back office and negotiating agent — not a broker or motor carrier. See how we verify carriers and standing.
What You Pay
Here's how the fee works, in plain terms — no retainers, no surprises. It's either a percentage of gross load revenue or a negotiated flat rate, confirmed in your Dispatch Service Agreement before you run a single load. You know your number going in.
- Billed weekly in USD, every Monday, for the prior week's loads
- Every invoice fully itemized — each load, its pickup and delivery, the gross revenue from the rate confirmation, and the fee applied — so you can check every line against the rate cons you signed
Full billing mechanics live on our Process page.
The Honest Part
Here's what we will — and won't — promise you. Any dispatcher who guarantees a load every week isn't being straight with you. Load volume rides on the freight market — season, fuel, the lanes you run — and no one controls that.
And every load offer is exactly that — an offer. You decide. We never book without your explicit yes on rate, pickup time, and lane. Decline as many as you need; there's no penalty.
We Screen Brokers
Protecting your revenue starts before a load is ever booked. We screen brokers on payment history and credit standing, and we won't knowingly book freight with brokers carrying documented non-payment issues. If one still creates a problem after delivery, the freight contract is legally between you and the broker — but we don't leave you to handle it alone. We keep every rate confirmation, delivery record, and message on file, help you pursue what you're owed, and weigh that broker's history into every future booking.
Switching Is Simple
Switching is simpler than you'd think. Bring your authority and we take it from there — once you're clear of a previous dispatcher's loads, there's nothing to untangle. Most carriers are running with us within a day or two of their documents clearing.
- Apply. Submit your carrier application with your MC Authority, insurance, and W-9.
- We verify. We confirm your authority and standing and build your dispatch profile — typically 24 to 48 hours.
- First load. We start sourcing on your preferred lanes right away.
Not sure your current dispatcher is earning their keep? Here are 5 signs they're not working for you. For the full document checklist, see Compliance.
